Which 5×5 Unit at Rambler is Right for Me?

Here at Rambler, we understand that finding the perfect living situation for you and your roommates can make or break your year, which is why we offer so many different floor plan options.

If you have a large group of friends you just can’t live without, you may want to consider our five bedroom apartments. Our 5×5 apartments (five beds, five bathrooms), The Sedona, The Southwestern, The Arroyo, The Monstera and The Agave, are all thoughtfully designed for living with a large group.

With so many options, we also recognize that it can be difficult to come to a conclusion, especially with four roommates.

To help you decide what makes the most sense for your group, we’ve written this article to compare and contrast these options for you

Comparing the Rambler 5x5s

The Sedona

Square Feet: 1,872

Located on Floors: 3-6

Number of Windows: 9

The Sedona, E5

The Sedona is the largest 5×5 unit at Rambler. This unit is also ADA compliant on floors 4-6.

When you walk into this unit, you’ll enter the massive open-concept kitchen and living area, lit up by the floor to ceiling window that faces campus. Whether you want to make a snack, catch up on some TV, or do homework on the island, you and your roommates can all hang out in the same space.

From the kitchen area, you’ll enter a short hallway leading to the five bedrooms.

Bedrooms A, B, and D come with a window and wooden shades, allowing you to let in as much natural light as you want. Bedrooms C and E have added lighting in the room to brighten up the space. Bedroom B is unique in that it is located on the corner of the building and features four large windows. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower-tub combo.

The Southwestern

Square Feet: 1,816

Located on Floors: 7-8

The Southwestern is the ultimate space for both entertaining and relaxing, with an unobstructed common area perfect for you and your roommates.

Walking into the open-concept kitchen and living area, four floor-to-ceiling windows leading out to a balcony will allow tons of sunshine into the space. The balcony faces the West Hills, so you can soak up the beautiful Texas sunsets every night.

Bedrooms B, C, and D come with a window and wooden shades, allowing you to let in as much natural light as you want. Bedroom D is unique in that it has three full length windows in the room for maximum sunlight! Bedrooms A and E have added lighting in the room to brighten up the space. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower-tub combo.

The Arroyo

The Arroyo, 5x5 unit at Rambler ATX

The Arroyo bright, spacious living room draws roommates together in an environment that elevates contemporary living. The extended floor to ceiling window livens the space.

When you enter the unit, you’ll come into a hallway, perfectly designed for a console table, a mirror, or framed photos of you and your roommates.

Bedrooms A, B and C come with a window and wooden shades, allowing you to let in as much natural light as you want. Bedrooms D and E have added lighting in the room to brighten up the space. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower-tub combo.

The Monstera

The Monstera, E2-A

The Monstera is our most popular five-bedroom unit. The open-concept living area is perfect for lounging and entertaining. The bedrooms are tucked away from the living space, adding extra privacy when it’s time to relax.

All of the bedrooms come with a window and wooden shades, allowing you to let in as much natural light as you want. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower-tub combo.

The Agave

Square Feet: 1,548

Located on Floors: 2-8

Number of Windows: 6

The Agave, E1

The Agave’s unique linear floor plan maximizes privacy, while still providing a fun and comfortable space to spend time with your roommates.

When entering the unit, you’ll find the kitchen where you can make your favorite meal and step over to the connected living space to turn on your show. The open space is welcomed with sunlight from the double-paned windows. The bedrooms are accessible through either side of the living space.

All of the bedrooms come with a window and wooden shades, allowing you to let in as much natural light as you want. Bedrooms A and E, located at either end of the unit, have an ensuite bathroom with a stand-up shower. Bedrooms B, C and D have individual bathrooms right across from the bedrooms, each containing a stand-up shower.

Similarities and Differences

Unit Size and Layout

In order from largest to smallest, The Sedona is first, followed by The Southwestern, The Arroyo, The Monstera, and The Agave with the largest difference being 324 square feet.

In The Agave, The Monstera, and The Sedona, your front door opens to the common area and the bedrooms are tucked away. In The Arroyo and The Southwestern, the bedrooms are more accessible, located closer to the front door.

In The Sedona, The Southwestern, and The Arroyo, every bedroom is an ensuite meaning it will have an attached bathroom to make it that much easier to maintain privacy. Plus, each bathroom will have a shower-tub combo. In the Monstera and The Agave, some of the bedrooms will have an ensuite, and others will have a private bathroom across the hall.

In every apartment, each bedroom comes with a bed, desk, chair, two dresser drawers, and a spacious closet. Each apartment also comes with a refrigerator, washer/dryer unit, and tons of storage to serve every roommate. In our 5×5 and 6×6 units, we also included a mini fridge to accommodate for more roommates.

Windows and Location

The Sedona, The Southwestern, The Arroyo, and The Monstera are corner units, while The Agave faces into the courtyard.

The Sedona faces east and south, giving you the morning sun, while The Southwestern, The Arroyo, and The Monstera face south and west, giving you a view of the hill country and the sunset.

Although each unit has a floor to ceiling window in the living room, The Southwestern and The Arroyo have multiple windows, letting in maximum sunlight to the unit. The Monstera and The Agave both provide windows in every single bedroom.
