When it comes to finding an apartment near the University of Texas at Austin, it’s easy for students to feel overwhelmed with how many choices there are. Especially in West Campus, the student housing options can seem endless.

Location

A three-minute walk from the UT Austin campus, Moontower is located on San Antonio Street between Rio Grande and Nueces.

Located in West Campus, Moontower is walking distance from popular spots among students such as Medici Roasting, Cain & Abel’s, and Pluckers, as well as various Greek sorority and fraternity houses, including Pi Beta Phi and Kappa Delta. Moontower is also near multiple other student apartments like Torre and Villas on Rio.

Amenities

Moontower opened in 2020, and has a third-floor fitness center connecting to an outdoor terrace with a jumbotron and games. There is also a study lounge with individual study rooms and a self-service coffee bar.

Moontower’s 18th floor has a spin studio, yoga room, and rooftop pool deck with a grill and lounge areas. This apartment is a restricted access community with key fobs to enter the building and operate the elevators, and it has a Luxer package room.

All units come fully furnished with a 65-inch Smart TV in the living room. Finishes include quartz countertops and faux-hardwood flooring. The rooms have internet, cable TV, kitchens with stainless steel appliances, and a full-sized washer and dryer.

Parking

Moontower offers resident-only parking on a first-come, first-served basis at an additional monthly cost. Parking spots are located in the four-level underground garage.

Moontower has studio, 2×2, 3×3, 4×3, 4×4, and 5×5 floor plan options.

Looking for larger options? Check out Rambler’s 6×6 units and 12×6 townhomes.

Apartments come fully furnished, and, upon publication, the leasing office reports rates ranging from the $900s to just over $1,700 depending on floor plan type. Moontower also has a limited number of SMART housing bed spaces reserved in a 4×4 floor plan for those who qualify.
